Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Massachusetts, one of the largest healthcare insurers in the state, required new dining facilities for the 1,800 employees at its corporate headquarters in Boston. The design included a long entry promenade, featuring food group signs that set the tone for the food court ahead. The festive and colorful food court contains a broad array of individualized eatery sections. A large dining room provides many seating opportunities, including banquette seating, loose tables and chairs that can be joined together, as well as private dining rooms. This project also includes several large flexible conference/lecture rooms that can be either combined or divided with movable partitions.
