The renowned Red Bank Veterinary Hospital (RBVH), the largest privately-owned veterinary hospital in North America when it was built, integrates general, specialty, and emergency service departments into a facility that also operates as a teaching hospital and regional conference destination. At nearly 60,000 SF, RBVH is a 24/7/365 facility with over 200 management, professional, and support staff. Hospital functions include 25 exam rooms, multiple treatment and surgical areas, oncology, imaging, hydrotherapy, dentistry, ophthalmology, and many other specialty services -- almost every medical procedure found in a full-service human hospital. In addition to hospital areas, the facility features a 250-seat lecture hall, classrooms, and educational spaces. A multi-station outpatient pharmacy with dumbwaiter service to lower-level storage plays a significant role in the financial success of the practice as well. After RBVH won the 2010 Veterinary Economics Hospital of the Year Award, rfa subsequently was contracted to design a satellite facility in Hillsborough, New Jersey in 2015.
