Located in a suburban town north of Boston, Massachusetts, the owners, a husband and wife team of veterinarians, are finally realizing their dream of running their own practice. Comprised of 6,000 SF on two floors, within a very constricted site, the exterior of the hospital incorporates the vernacular of traditional New England architecture with its unique proportions, gray clapboards and white trim. An important goal was to blend in with the surrounding residential neighborhood in both scale and appearance.While traditional on the outside, the interior has all of the amenities of a modern veterinary hospital. Under a cathedral ceiling, the Waiting Area has separate seating for feline and canine patients. Next to the entry is a small retail “boutique."
